Again like many mundane pubs, the Rose & Crown really is an old traditional pub, whose history of serving the local community and visitors over a span of some 250 years is well known. It really feels like a pub serving quality drink and food. As so many say following their visit, “The Rose and Crown is a pub with a great atmosphere – even when only a few customers are present.”
For a special occasion the Library makes a really cosy eating area and can sit 54 whilst the restaurant can sit 37. Both for full sitting down meals, whilst we can and have catered for up to 200 using a buffet configuration for weddings, birthdays and funerals.
The pub is blessed with a delightful secluded garden, which is well shielded from both traffic and the worst of the wind. On a clement day it is really enjoyable to be able to sit outside and enjoy a drink or meal.
